About the program
INDT 601 introduces shielded metal arc welding on steel plates and shapes in classroom and hands-on laboratory settings. Students learn shop orientation and safety, shop math, print reading, measuring tools, material types, cutting and preparation, and foundational SMAW procedures and practices.
