About the program

MECT 421 provides introductory training for plumbing occupations including plumber's helper, pipe layer, maintenance worker, and parts clerk. Instruction covers plumbing systems and theories, codes, tools and materials, water distribution, waste removal, pressure, technical math, blueprint reading, pipe installation, pumps, welding and soldering, inspection, and safe tool use.
