About the program

This noncredit Jones College course builds the theory and practical skills needed to install, service, and maintain residential electrical equipment. It mirrors the first course in Jones's credit Electrical Technology program and may support prior-learning credit after college review. Instruction covers safe work, trade tools, common wiring installations, troubleshooting, circuit-load calculations, electrical blueprints, meters, and National Electrical Code compliance.
